The stage build began at 04:00 on Saturday morning, following overnight road closures on Friday night. At that hour the city is in transition , early-morning workers are arriving, while some late-night revellers are still making their way home from nearby venues.

Pride always delivers memorable moments but the 2024 load-out was unforgettable for a different reason. As our crew wrapped up the breakdown of the StageMobil LR, the call came that Stephen's wife had gone into labour. We completed the load-out, hitched up the trailer, then rushed straight to the hospital. The timing couldn’t have been tighter, proof that even when life is at its most unpredictable, the show must go on.
