Frequently Asked Questions
What does outdoor stage hire cost?
Stage hire costs are influenced by several factors, including the stage size required, hire duration, event dates, and delivery location. For guidance, compact mobile stages are typically available from approximately £1,400 + VAT, with most events falling within a £4,000 + VAT budget. Larger mobile festival stages command higher budgets, often exceeding £30,000 + VAT. Where a bespoke, purpose-built stage is required for a major production, project budgets generally begin from around £50,000 + VAT. As no two events are the same, the most accurate pricing is provided once we understand your site, schedule, and production requirements. We recommend discussing your plans with us to receive a tailored quotation.
Do you hire stages for small events?
Absolutely. We regularly support smaller events as well as major festivals. Our StageMobil S and StageMobil LR stages are designed for rapid deployment, cost efficiency, and are well suited to audiences of approximately 100 to 2,000 people. Both options can be supplied with professional sound and lighting, ensuring community events, charity fundraisers, and local performances benefit from polished production standards, without the complexity, extended build times, or expense associated with larger festival infrastructure.
Do you provide audio and stage lighting?
Sound and lighting can be added to your stage hire as an optional package. Working closely with our trusted production partner, we provide professional audio, lighting, and technical control systems tailored to suit your event. Whether you require a straightforward setup for a small outdoor gathering or a fully specified festival system for audiences of 50,000+, our focus is on clear sound, dependable equipment, and smooth technical delivery. If you’re looking for outdoor stage hire with sound and lighting included, speak to our team and we’ll recommend a package that fits your audience, site, and programme.
Is a site visit necessary?
Site visits can be arranged where necessary, however the majority of events can be planned and confirmed using details you supply, such as site plans, access information, and photographs. This often removes the need for a pre-event visit and helps keep budgets efficient. Where a site visit is required, there is typically no charge unless extended time on site is needed. For venues with more complex access requirements, we can also provide test deliveries of our stage trailers as an optional service. Common considerations include narrow entry points, town-centre restrictions, uneven surfaces, and tight vehicle manoeuvring areas. Providing this information at an early stage enables us to select the most suitable stage and plan a smooth delivery. If you have any uncertainty about access or suitability, contact us and we’ll be happy to advise on the best solution.
How far in advance shall I book a stage?
As with most outdoor events, availability improves significantly with early booking. High-demand periods such as bank holidays, school holidays, and July in particular are often committed up to six months ahead. Trailer stages are a finite resource across the UK, meaning demand can quickly outstrip availability. Where mobile stages are no longer available, events often have to move to custom-built alternatives, which can typically cost around twice as much. Making contact early maximises your options and helps secure the most suitable stage within budget. If your event dates are confirmed, we recommend getting in touch as soon as possible so we can provisionally reserve availability for you.
Do you cover my area?
We are based in Cheshire, close to Manchester, and operate our own fleet of mobile stages within an approximate 100km radius. Beyond this, we work through a trusted partner network to source and manage stages nationwide. Geography is never a barrier. From town-centre events and regional showgrounds to large-scale productions across the UK, we deliver the same structured, reliable approach wherever your audience is based.
